Agatha Ruiz de la Prada y Carrefour se unen para crear la colorida equipación de la vuelta
Carrefour and Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada have signed an agreement for the Madrid designer to add color to the distribution company’s equipment in La Vuelta 2023. Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada has created a total of 20 garments and accessories for Carrefour’s employees, bringing originality and differentiation to their uniforms, as well as the visibility and positioning of Ágatha’s iconic pieces. For their creation, the designer was inspired by Carrefour’s values, which she combined with the essence that characterizes Ágatha’s garments, through an original design that is exclusive to the company’s employees.
The collection created for Carrefour includes puffy coats for both men and women, bomber jackets, raincoats, socks, polo shirts, and neck buffs. It also features accessories such as caps, umbrellas, backpacks, water bottles, mini shoulder bags, and fans. All garments are exclusive, numbered, and personalized for the company’s employees, who will wear these uniforms until La Vuelta ends on September 17th.
This project by the prestigious designer and one of the greatest representatives of Spanish fashion adds differentiation, creativity, and originality, and provides new motivation for Carrefour’s volunteers, as they can wear unique garments that have been created specifically for them in this competition.
On the other hand, Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada, the Madrid designer, explained that «the collaboration with Carrefour is becoming more intimate, interesting, and beautiful to me every day. There are many things that unite us, and coincidentally, it’s cycling, since for many years I made uniforms for Carrefour France for the Tour de France. Now, collaborating with Carrefour on this project seems like a luxury to me because they are very Ágatha and very modern garments. What I wanted was for people to be proud to wear them not only during the cycling race but throughout the year, promoting ecology and at the same time being fashionable.»
In this way, Carrefour resumes its collaboration with the designer, which began in the summer of 2021 when she created a capsule collection of children’s swimwear for the distribution company. Under the claim «Color your summer,» Carrefour sold these garments through www.carrefour.es, highlighting their fun and colorful designs.
In its eleventh year of supporting La Vuelta, Carrefour continues to be the main sponsor of the race and, this year, has also promoted women’s cycling with La Vuelta Femenina by Carrefour.es and the red leader’s jersey. With this initiative, the company demonstrates its support for one of the most important sports events in the country, as well as Carrefour’s commitment to women and female talent.
